Bruce Wood Dance is an award-winning contemporary dance company based in Dallas. Founded in 2010 by the nationally acclaimed artistic director and choreographer Bruce Wood, the company's mission is to present high-caliber, contemporary choreography that entertains, enriches, and heals. Under the artistic direction of Joy Bollinger, who successfully carries on Wood's legacy, the company comprises 12 exceptional dancers who deliver emotionally charged and highly kinetic performances. Bruce Wood Dance serves the public through a range of offerings including theatrical productions, outdoor appearances, classes, digital content, and dance films. The repertoire features original works from Wood's collection as well as commissioned pieces known for their social relevance, poignant imagery, and sinuous partnering. Collaborating with internationally renowned choreographers, the company has commissioned over 20 new works since 2014. Recognized as the Best Dance Company by D Magazine multiple times, Bruce Wood Dance has performed across Texas and at prestigious venues such as the Joyce Theater in New York and Jacob's Pillow.
