Dallas' Design District to get a new 160,000-s.f. retail development in 2026

Dallas' Design District is expanding with a new 160,000-s.f. development called The Seam, which should be completed by summer 2026. The Seam will feature more than 60 spots for dining, shopping, wellness, fitness and more, all nestled within green areas at the heart of the project. The development will overtake the Oak Lawn Design Plaza at 1444 Oak Lawn, which consists of seven, one-story buildings that haven't been updated since the 1970s. Asana Partners purchased the property in 2023, and Morris Adjmi Architects will be overseeing the project. The Seam will break ground in Q1, 2025.
