Fabletics Bets Big on Brick-and-Mortar, Tripling Its International Footprint With 45 New Stores

Fabletics is taking its billion-dollar activewear business on a world tour. The El Segundo, California-based brand announced plans this week to open roughly 45 stores over the next 12 months — 25 in the U.S. and 20 abroad — a push that will triple its international retail footprint and plant its flag in five new markets: India, the United Arab Emirates, Colombia, Peru, and Central America.
The digitally native brand, co-founded in 2013 by CEO Adam Goldenberg alongside actress Kate Hudson, currently operates about 135 stores globally, the vast majority in the U.S. The new wave of openings comes on the heels of a milestone year in which Fabletics surpassed $1 billion in net revenue and posted its third consecutive year of double-digit same-store sales growth in U.S. retail.
"Retail has become an increasingly important growth driver for our business," Goldenberg said. "As our retail model continues to deliver strong results in the U.S., we're confident it can scale globally."
The physical expansion is designed to work hand in hand with the brand's growing international e-commerce and wholesale operations, pairing local market expertise with a consistent in-store brand experience, according to president Meera Bhatia. International sales currently represent only a mid-single-digit share of the business — which is exactly why leadership sees so much runway. The company has set an ambitious five-year target of doubling revenue and quadrupling EBITDA, with global retail as a central lever.
Fabletics joins a crowded field of activewear players racing overseas — Lululemon has its own multi-market international push underway for 2026 — but its membership-driven model and celebrity DNA give it a differentiated playbook as it scales from digital darling to global fleet operator.
