Indochino Will Open 10 New Showrooms in 2027, Led by a Smaller Store

Indochino has confirmed its largest standalone retail investment in years: ten new U.S. showrooms opening in 2027, six of which are already named — Brea, California; Boca Raton, Florida; Columbia, Maryland; Cherry Hill, New Jersey; Roosevelt Field on Long Island; and Ross Park in Pittsburgh. Those six open in early 2027, with the remaining four following mid-to-late year.

The made-to-measure apparel brand currently operates 56 showrooms in the U.S. and 13 in Canada. Founded in 2007 as an online custom-suiting company, Indochino has spent the past decade proving out physical retail as its growth engine — the showrooms function as appointment-driven fitting studios feeding an e-commerce fulfillment model rather than traditional inventory-carrying stores.

A smaller box

The 2027 class marks the debut of a new boutique format of roughly 1,500 to 1,800 square feet, down from the 2,000 to 5,000 square feet of its existing flagships. Each location will still offer the full experience: one-on-one styling consultations, fabric selection, and custom suiting, shirting, and outerwear.

"This is the largest investment we've placed on standalone retail in years, and it is the start of a new small format approach to our retail network," said CEO Drew Green.

The logic of the smaller box is straightforward for a made-to-measure operator. Indochino showrooms hold sample garments and fabric swatches, not sellable stock, so there's no stockroom to feed — meaning the brand can shrink its footprint, cut build-out and occupancy costs, and still deliver the identical service. That opens up a much longer list of viable centers and trade areas than the flagship format supported.

Where they're going

The company hasn't officially named landlords or centers, but the six cities read like a shortlist of top-tier regional malls — Roosevelt Field and Ross Park are mall names, not towns, and Brea, Cherry Hill, Columbia, and Boca Raton are each defined by a dominant Class A mall. If that's the pattern, Indochino is pairing its smaller, cheaper box with the most productive retail real estate in each market rather than using the lower cost structure to chase secondary locations.

Green said site selection is being driven by demand signals: "Our customers keep telling us they want the Indochino showroom experience closer to home and the consumer data we have gives us the confidence to deliver our showroom experience to more geographies."

The numbers behind the expansion

The announcement comes off a sustained profitable run. Indochino has posted six consecutive quarters of positive EBITDA and says it set a quarterly EBITDA record in Q2 2026. As a private company it doesn't disclose revenue, but the recent trajectory is visible in its real estate activity: five showrooms opened in 2024, an expanded Nordstrom shop-in-shop partnership in 2025, and now a ten-store class for 2027. Management has said the ambition is roughly ten new showrooms annually for the next five years if the 2027 rollout performs.

Worth watching

Keep an eye on whether the pace holds — ten stores a year is a meaningful commitment for a company of this size, and the 2027 class is effectively the pilot for a five-year, 50-store expansion.
