About Recess Fitness Club
Nostalgic "Playground" Fitness Concept Integrating High-End Athletics with Concierge Medical Wellness Recess Fitness Club is an experiential, anchor-quality tenant redefining the big-box gym model by blending childhood nostalgia with luxury athletic performance and medical wellness. Founded by a former tenant rep broker and a military veteran, the concept actively targets second-generation gym spaces (15,000 – 22,000 SF) to convert sterile environments into vibrant, community-centric "playgrounds" featuring functional turf zones, recovery lounges, and signature aesthetic elements like slides and swings. Beyond standard fitness, the brand drives high-yield foot traffic through its "Recess Rx" arm—an in-house concierge clinic offering GLP-1 weight loss, hormone therapy, and physical therapy—attracting an affluent, health-conscious demographic (Ages 25–45) seeking a comprehensive "Gym as Clinic" ecosystem. Ideal for lifestyle centers and urban mixed-use projects, Recess seeks high-visibility end-caps or inline junior anchors capable of supporting high-energy group fitness and clinical sub-leasing.
