Eric Adjepong Brings West African Cuisine to 14th Street with Elmina

Renowned chef, Top Chef finalist, and Food Network host Eric Adjepong is bringing his modern take on West African cuisine to D.C. with the opening of Elmina at 2208 14th St Northwest. As West African flavors gain momentum nationally, Adjepong—who has deep ties to the city—aims to showcase the region’s ingredients and techniques in a way that’s never been done before in D.C. The Bronx-born Ghanaian chef, known for his work at Kith and Kin and his culinary product lines at Whole Foods and Crate & Barrel, has long sought to open his own restaurant in Washington. Now, with Elmina, he has a new platform to share his passion and redefine the West African dining experience in the nation’s capital.
