Mixed-Use Development Planned for Frankford Avenue in Fishtown
Permits have been issued for a new three-story mixed-use building at 2225-27 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood. The project will include four residential units above ground-floor commercial space and total approximately 8,500 square feet of new construction.
The development is planned for a vacant site between East Dauphin Street and East Susquehanna Avenue and carries an estimated construction cost of $1.38 million. The first floor and basement are designated for commercial use, creating another retail opportunity along one of Philadelphia’s most active neighborhood corridors.
The project is another example of the continued mixed-use infill development reshaping Frankford Avenue as residential growth and retail demand remain strong throughout Fishtown.
