Whole Foods Eyes 9,400 SF Lease in Philadelphia’s Fishtown
Whole Foods Market is eyeing a 9,400-square-foot lease at 1716 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia’s Fishtown neighborhood.
The store would occupy part of the ground floor of a new three-story, 40-unit mixed-use development from Fishtown Collective. The project includes more than 12,000 square feet of retail, leaving room for two additional ground-floor tenants beyond Whole Foods.
Fishtown has seen significant residential growth in recent years but still lacks a large-scale grocery chain. A Whole Foods lease would add a daily-needs anchor to Frankford Avenue and help support additional retail leasing within the project.
Construction began earlier this year and is expected to be completed within the next 12 months.
