Planet Hollywood, the movie-inspired dining chain that debuted in the 1990s and closed due to the pandemic, has reopened in NYC's Times Square, at 136 West 42nd Street. The 17,500-s.f. restaurant underwent a $20 million overhaul, and now has walls and ceilings adorned with high-definition screens that immerse diners into various movie world realms. With this relaunch, Planet Hollywood is entering a new era, swapping out its iconic movie memorabilia for 692 interactive video tiles with dynamic content instead.
