About Faneuil Hall Marketplace
Faneuil Hall Marketplace is a historic festival marketplace in downtown Boston, anchored by the 1826 Quincy Market building and its flanking North and South Market buildings, which were redeveloped by the Rouse Company under architect Benjamin Thompson and reopened in 1976 as one of the first modern "festival marketplace" retail concepts in the U.S. The roughly 200,000-square-foot property mixes food halls, pushcart vendors, restaurants, and specialty retail with tenants such as Ben & Jerry's, Starbucks, and Newbury Comics, drawing millions of tourists and residents annually adjacent to Boston's City Hall Plaza. In early 2024, the property's long-term operating lease changed hands from Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp. to the real estate arm of the J. Safra Group.
