Google to open first D.C. retail store in Georgetown

Google is set to open its first retail store in Washington, D.C., securing a 10-year lease for a 7,700-square-foot space at 3235 M St. NW in Georgetown. Replacing Aerie, the store will offer Google products, including phones and Chromebooks, alongside in-store tech support and interactive experiences.
This marks Google’s sixth U.S. retail location, joining stores in New York, Chicago, Boston, and Mountain View, CA, with additional locations planned in Austin and Santa Monica. EastBanc, the building’s owner, sees Google’s arrival as further elevating Georgetown’s status as a premier shopping destination, alongside brands like Tesla, Skims, and Arc’teryx.
